Scotty’s Meats

Scotty wanted a website to reflect the energy he brings to his Butchers’ shop!

The site had to provide an online store that would enable his team to add and manage products, display photography and set up “specials” as and when required.

The “Blackboard Specials” was a bit of fun. Scotty was instructed to remove his traditional blackboard outside the shop and wanted to replace it with an online equivalent. We found a lovely “blackboard” type background and used a sort of chalky font on top. The board automatically displays any items that have been tagged as specials. Each item also acts as a link so you can click through to see more details.

We also crafted a special message for those rare occasions when there are no current specials. It won’t be used much, but it’s much better than a blank display.

The online store includes delivery methods for Wellington and Wairarapa. We set up these zones on mapping software and added boundaries around each zone. When arranging a delivery, customers are charged depending upon which zone their address falls within.

Scotty asked us to include AfterPay and Zip payment gateways, so that customers can spread their payments over a period.
