Mailing List

Today’s question: How do you keep in touch with your clients?

And how much time do you spend doing it?

And question three: is that the most effective way?

And how would you go about improving it?  So that’s four questions!

We have been using the MailChimp system to distribute newsletters out to hundreds and hundreds of clients and this offers a substantial level of automation.  You write the newsletter once, you submit it, and out it goes to your list of recipients.  individual subscribers are kept informed using address information that they maintain up-to-date, provided as part of the system.  And of course, the facility integrates completely with your website – so to the user it can appear that they are still within the website and on a particular page.  Of course, a newsletter isn’t the only thing you could send out, and any time you need to get in touch with your customers in one go, this approach to managing your mailing list is really useful and a great time saver and lest wasteful in terms of incorrect addresses etc.  You may want to advise that you are going to be unavailable for a two-week period over Christmas, or to wish them all season’s greetings and so on.  Any time you want to get a whole load of information out in one go to all your customers.
